Meet Hiroko
Event Director
Hiroko began her dance journey in 2008, immersing herself in the world of Latin dance. Her passion led her to specialize in Samba de Gafieira, a Brazilian partner dance she deeply loves. Committed to continuous learning, she travels to Brazil every year to refine her skills and deepen her connection to the dance.
Alongside Samba de Gafieira, Hiroko has trained in Zouk, Forró, Salsa, and Bachata, performing for several years and sharing her joy of movement with others.
In 2021, she founded Platform Studio, a space dedicated to dance, creativity, and community. She enjoys collaborating with talented teachers and organizing dance events and workshops, bringing people together through the power of dance.

Salsa Instructor
Robin D'Souza
Robin D Souza, the passionate founder of Melbourne Mambo, brings a wealth of experience in dance and choreography. With a background in Salsa, ChaChaCha, Afro Cuban, Boogaloo and a dedication to his craft, he has created a welcoming space where students of all ages can learn, grow, and express themselves through movement. Committed to excellence, creativity, and inclusivity, Robin inspires dancers to to enjoy freedom, expression and connection through salsa.
Zouk Instructor
Izzy & Steve
Izzy Washington and Steve Reilly are passionate Brazilian Zouk dancers and teachers, deeply embedded in the Australian Zouk community. Izzy, with a background in ballet, jazz, and Latin dance, founded DanceIM in 2012, blending dance with her studies in anatomy and neuroscience. Steve, inspired by Zouk in Brazil in 2000, and learnt later refined his skills. Both are respected teachers, judges, and performers, known for their emotive choreographies and dedication to student growth.
